Home invasion may have been drug-related
5:30 p.m.: Clovis police say the home invasion this morning on Palo Alto appears to be narcotics-related. Detectives found evidence of narcotic sales, an indoor marijuana grow operation and material to manufacture hashish in the home. Detectives also found weapons.
The medical conditions of Erich and Walter Aufderheide, who were injured during the home invasion, have not changed since earlier today, police reported. Both are still hospitalized at Clovis Regional.
12:23 p.m.: Clovis police have identified the victims in an early-morning shooting and provided the following scenario:
Walter Aufderheide, 57, and his son, Erich Aufderheide, 20, woke up to find two male intruders in their house. Erich Aufderheide confronted the male intruders, who shot him. The intruders then assaulted Walter Aufderheide by striking him with an unknown object to the head. The two then fled.
Both victims were taken to Clovis Regional Medical Center. At this time, Erich Aufderheide?s condition is critical but stable and Walter Aufderheide?s condition is serious but stable.

8:59 a.m.: A man was shot twice and a second man struck on the head this morning in east Clovis, police reported.
The incidents took place on the 2500 block of Palo Alto Avenue. The man who had been shot called police about 5:30 a.m.
Police did not identify the victims. Both were taken to Clovis Regional Medical Center.
