96th Clovis Rodeo Association Board of Directors Announced<span style="font-family:

Anthony Vitucci of Clovis has successfully completed California Highway Patrol (CHP) cadet training. He is assigned to duty at the CHP’s Monterey Area Office.Officer Vitucci is a 2005 graduate of Clovis East High School. He worked as an administrative assistant for Central Valley Toxicology prior to joining the CHP.

Valley high schools are graduating the class of 2009. All graduations are held at the campus of the school involved, unless otherwise noted.

It began with Bullard High’s girls running the fifth-fastest 400-meter relay (47.13 seconds) in Central Section history.It nearly ended with Edison’s girls blistering the section’s No. 3 all-time mark in the 1,600 relay (3:50.76).

Cody White hit a two-run double in Clovis’ four-run fifth inning, leading the No. 3 Cougars past No. 6 Liberty-Bakersfield 9-2 in D-I. Eric Karch belted two home runs and drove in six runs as No. 2 Clovis West beat No. 7 Central 9-0 in D-I.
