Low-cost rabies shots for animals in Fresno Co.
The Fresno County Department of Public Health and the Central California Veterinary Medical Association will provide low-cost animal rabies vaccinations clinics in June.
California law states that all dogs older than 4 months must be vaccinated against rabies. Vaccinations given to dogs less than a year old are valid for one year. Vaccinations to dogs more than a year old are valid for three years.
The following clinics will be held:
– 6-8 p.m. today, Mountain Valley Community Church, 30598 E. Kings Canyon Road, Squaw Valley
– 6-8 p.m. today, City Park, San Joaquin
– 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sanger City Park, Academy Avenue and Fifth Street, Sanger
– 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, SPCA, 103 S. Hughes, Fresno
– 6-8 p.m. June 11, Huron City Hall, 36311 S. Lassen Ave., Huron
– 9 a.m.-noon June 13, Auberry Feed Station, 33224 Auberry Road, Auberry
– 6-8 p.m. June 16, Clovis Animal Shelter, 908 Villa Ave., Clovis
– 6:30-8 p.m. June 17, Parlier Community Center, 1100 E. Parlier Ave., Parlier
– 6-8 p.m. June 18, Wal-Mart, 5125 E. Kings Canyon Road, Fresno
Dog license applications will be available at each vaccination site.
The cost is $6 per vaccination and must be paid with the exact total in cash. Dog license fees are $4 each year for spayed/neutered dogs (a certificate from a licensed veterinarian is required), and $39 each year for dogs not spayed or neutered.
