Pelco, Cisco join to develop HD security camera
Pelco, a Clovis-based manufacturer of video security and surveillance equipment, is partnering with the San Jose-based Cisco to develop a new high-definition Internet Protocol video security camera.
The new co-branded video security cameras combine Pelco’s expertise in imaging with Cisco’s IP networking experience to deliver the next generation of high-definition IP video security cameras.
The new cameras will be sold globally by Cisco Authorized Technology Providers and are expected to be available by the end of 2009.

This is a great move for both companies and I understand it started when Pelco became a certified technology partner for Cisco’s wireless unit.
