I believe that it was the annual rodeo parade but am not 100% sure. I was the Risk Mnanger for the City at the time and collected the cost of repairs from the sponsors of the offending float after the repair was completed and the total cost was known. I also remember that many long time residents were very upset that it took so long for the repair to be completed.
