Poverty Mayhem

What do you really know about poverty? Did you know that global hunger affects 923 million people? That is bigger than the population of the United States, Canada, and the European Union combined! Did you also know that 60% of those people are women? What about that each year, an estimated $30 billion is spent on medical costs concerning hunger and malnutrition?
I think you’re starting to get the message. Poverty threatens 20 million children and leads to 6 million childhood deaths. I know that you don’t want this happening to you. So, want to know what you can do to help? You can volunteer your time to a local community food bank, you can raise awareness, or you can donate money to help those already affected.
