Snapshot of the good Community does

Here’s some of what Community Medical Centers CEO Tim Joslin and members of his leadership team shared Dec. 8 in the system’s annual presentation to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors:

The expansion of Clovis Community Medical Centers — an economic and health care shot in the arm for the region.
Recruiting much-needed medical specialists to the area and adding new medical services.
Completing the buildout of the Community Regional Medical Center — including the opening in 2010 of the Deran Koligian Ambulatory Care Center.
A $1 billion locally owned nonprofit — infusing $435 million in payroll into the community and another $122 million in locally purchased goods and services.
Providing nearly $150 million in un/undercompensated care last year — a “community benefits” total more than that provided by all other area hospitals combined.
Caring for more people in better ways in trying times. Follow this link to Community’s 2009 annual review of the good work done for our region by Community’s 1,000+ physicians and 6,000 employees:
