Tip to cops leads to Clovis arrest

Clovis police arrested a gang member and parolee Friday on suspicion of robbery, possession of stolen property, a parole violation and two outstanding warrants out of San Luis Obispo County, authorities said.

Police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said a man was pumping gas at the Shell station at Peach and Shaw avenues when Scott Davis, 24, pulled a gun on him and demanded his wallet. Davis then ran.

Police found Davis at an apartment complex near Villa Avenue a few hours later after receiving a tip. The victim’s wallet and a replica gun were recovered.
