I totally agree with you Frank Gless. Honestly, if you’re worried about your authority being undermined, perhaps you need to figure out how you’re deriving your authority on campus. Furthermore, if the principal was knowledgeable about Facebook, he would have known that Facebook has a policy of taking down fake pages within 48 hours, if the true owner of that identity comes forward.

I only know what I have seen/heard in the media but I think the principal and District over-reacted terribly. They turned a ant hill into a mountain and should be embarrassed by their display of immaturity. They did far more to damage their reputation than the kids ever could have. What a senseless waste of taxpayer money. Their up-line management should seriously consider replacing the decision makers in that little fiasco.
