Clovis woman drowned in pool, coroner rules

A 48-year-old Clovis woman whose body was found in her swimming pool Thursday night accidentally drowned, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office said Friday.

Her name has not yet been made public pending notification of family.

Clovis police went to the 1700 block of Barstow Avenue just before 8 p.m. after neighbors reported that they found the body when they came to the home to bring the woman dinner.

Police said the neighbors customarily stopped in to check on the woman. They found her in the pool, pulled her out and called for help.
