Clovis West volleyball finishes in top fourth

The Clovis West High volleyball team took 12th out of 48 teams in the Durango Tournament this weekend in Las Vegas.

Clovis West defeated Torrey Pines-San Diego 25-16, 25-23. But the Golden Eagles lost to Long Beach Poly 25-20, 25-20, to Redondo Union 25-22, 25-20 and to Marymont-Los Angeles 25-23, 25-23.

Among Clovis West’s tournament highlights was a victory against Sacred Heart of Kentucky, ranked 37th in the nation.

Teams from Kentucky to Hawaii participated.
