Cal Baptist, ranked No. 15 by the Collegiate Water Polo Association, beat the Fresno Pacific men 17-5 at Clovis West High.

Glenn Lyon and Trevor Kolb scored two goals each to lead the Sunbirds (7-17) in their fourth loss this season to Cal Baptist (22-3).

Rams second in golf

The Fresno City College women’s golf team finished second to Cañada at a Central Valley Conference tournament at Rancho Canada East in Carmel. Cañada now leads the Rams 41-40 in the league standings.

Reedley’s Lexi Zanovitch (85), Fresno’s Lauren Marlow (85) and College of the Sequoias’ Brittini Ellis (87) were among the medalists on the par-72 course.

Kops-Jones falls at Luxembourg Open

Former Fresnan Raquel Kops-Jones and doubles partner Sania Mirza of India lost 6-4, 0-6, 10-7 to top-seeded Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals of the Luxembourg Open.
