Fresno’s Sierra Running Company is Official Drop off Location for Soles4Souls

Drop off a pair of gently used shoes and help those in Japan

FRESNO, CA-Can a pair of shoes in your closet mean hope and help for victims and rescuers in Japan?  Yes! That pair of forgotten shoes could mean the ability for someone thousands of miles away to manipulate through the wreckage, glass, twisted metal and raw sewage left from the devastation of the recent earthquake and tsunami.

Sierra Running Company (SRC) of Fresno has joined with Soles4Souls, an international nonprofit shoe charity, as the Fresno drop-off location for your gently used or new shoes.  Soles4Souls was formed  in 2004 after the Indonesia tsunami, with the simple purpose of  facilitating donations of shoes for those who desperately needed footwear.  Since that time, they have donated over 13 million pairs of shoes throughout the world.

Sierra Running Company is located at the RiverView Shopping Center on the corner of Friant and Fort Washington, across Friant from Woodward Park.  SRC is open seven days a week and will accept gently used or new shoes every day M-F from 10-8, Saturdays from 10-6 and Sundays from noon to 5.
