Baseball and softball highlights March 29

BASEBALL
Fifth-ranked Central beat No. 4 Clovis West 9-2 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. Gabe Perez hit a three-run homer and had four RBIs, Nate Navarrete went 3 for 3 with a homer and four RBIs, and Jordan Brink threw six innings with eight strikeouts.

Brennan Jacobson threw four innings and struck out six as Memorial, ranked No. 3 in Division II, downed Bullard 5-3 in a matchup of unbeaten County/Metro Athletic Conference teams. Nicco Dalena had a double and an RBI for the Panthers.

Jesse Zamora pitched a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts and Matthew Garcia went 5 for 5 with three RBIs as Parlier defeated Kings Christian 15-1 in a nonleague game.

Cooper Miranda had two hits and four steals and Immanuel, No. 1 in D-V, scored three runs in the fifth to get past Selma 7-5.

SOFTBALL

Sammy Jauregui pitched a five-hitter and had two RBIs to lift Lindsay, No. 2 in D-V, past Orosi 12-4 in the East Sequoia League.
