Valley weather to get relief with temps in 80s
Cool and dry weather is forecast for this week in the central San Joaquin Valley, the National Weather Service said Sunday.
Fresno’s high temperature is expected to reach 94 today but will cool off to a high of 89 on Tuesday, 86 on Wednesday, 85 on Thursday and 86 on Friday. Temperatures are going to rise into the weekend and return to the triple-digits by next week.
“A trough of low pressure is picking up cool marine air and bringing it into the Valley,” said Jim Bagnall, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Hanford. “It happens several times a summer and it is part of the regular pattern here in the Valley.”
