Stay in town and stay busy

Part of my job—albeit a very small, if not miniscule part—is to post events to Facebook, alerting people of all the fun and amazing events in and around Fresno county. Like pretty much everyone else in this burg, I’ve repeatedly heard the whine that there is “Nothing to do” in this area.

Let me disabuse you all of this notion right now: There is PLENTY to do in this area. In fact, there are so many competing events, it’s hard to find a day where there isn’t something going on.

And so I give you a simple list, a mere sampling of some of the many amazing things coming up:

• Are you a rocker? Get ready because Mötley Crüe is coming to Fresno.
• Maybe you’re more into baseball? Catch a Grizzlies game.
• If you love theatre, love quirky, and kind-of dig on performance art, you will absolutely be amazed by the fact that The Blue Man Group is not only coming to town, but that you can now buy tickets. (SIDE NOTE: Best. Stage performers. EVAR.)
• Music lovers, have you heard about Bluegrass in the Park? It’s happening every Friday night at Clovis Veteran’s Memorial Square
• Or perhaps you’d prefer a little bit of 80s awesome: Catch Los Lobos at Chukchansi Gold.

As a said, a mere sampling. None of these fit your style? Not a problem. Go check out planitfresno.com for a complete listing of other events that are taking place around the Valley. The best way to stop complaining about having nothing to do is to keep your self busy!
