Families Invited to Make a Splash August 6

Local La Leche League to Host a Family Fun Day

On August 6, La Leche League of Hanford will be celebrating World Breastfeeding Week with a family fun day in Centennial Park on Hanford-Armona Road between 11th and 12th. Free to the public, the event will feature the park’s splash pad zone, bounce houses, food vendors and craft booths.

Enjoy Fatte Albert’s pizza, King Kone snow cones and cotton candy, and Beto’s roasted corn on the cob while you shop for handmade jewelry, boys’ and girls’ accessories, paintings, handcrafted bath products, and more!

Cathy Porter, LLL Leader says, “Because LLL’s theme is Communication, we decided to host an event that could spark conversations within the community. This is a great way to bring attention to the importance of breastfeeding and the La Leche League.”

All of this family fun will help keep the local La Leche League group active and able to provide current breastfeeding education to families, the community, hospitals, and other organizations.

About La Leche League of Hanford, California

The La Leche League of Hanford, California meets at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of every month at the Hanford Family Connection Center, 315 W. Lacey Blvd. in Hanford.

“Our important organization provides up-to-date breastfeeding information, support, and friendship in an area where many families do not have their extended family members nearby. Many long-lasting friendships form because of the wonderful connections that are made in meetings.  LLL meetings are a place where moms can ask questions, voice concerns, and share their tips about breastfeeding and parenting.  “
~Cathy Porter, LLL Leader

A library of books, experienced moms, and the knowledgeable leader are available as resource. Nursing babies are always welcome.
