Valley baton twirlers on national title team
Clovis sisters Brianne and Kaitlyn Turnbull were part of the SyndiCops Junior Dance Twirl Team that won the junior small dance twirl team national title at the U.S. National Baton Twirling Championships this month at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.
Brianne, 14, will be a freshman at Buchanan High School. Kaitlyn, 13, is entering the eighth grade at St. Anthony’s School. SyndiCops is the junior team of the Syndication Baton Club in Hercules.
Emily Dooms, 14, who will be a freshman at Visalia’s Mt. Whitney High School, was part of the Sacramento-based Revolution team that took second in the nation in the senior small twirl team division. Emily also took second in the nation in the 14-year-old junior women’s solo division.
