Clovis North teacher suspected in sex crimes

A Clovis North High School drama teacher faces several charges of having sex with a minor, Fresno police said.

Andrew Cardillo, 32, was arrested Thursday.

Clovis Unified School District spokeswoman Kelly Avants said Cardillo was hired as a drama teacher in 2007. She said he was placed on leave June 22 and that once he is formally charged he would be on leave without pay.
