THE BUZZ

Bullard replaces Clovis at No. 10 after a 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-17 head-to-head victory last week, followed by a third-place finish in the Silver Division of the Beach Cites Invitational in Chula Vista. The Knights, behind senior setter Pookie Gonzalez and senior outside hitter Skyler Thomas, host Clovis North at 7 p.m. Thursday during Dig Pink Night, Bullard’s annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser. Coach Kieran Roblee said the team’s goal is to raise $1,000 for the Side-Out Foundation. Hoover will host a similar fundraiser Oct. 20 against Madera South.

No. 1 Clovis West plays at No. 4 Central Valley Christian tonight, where current Cavaliers coach and former star player Meghan Warkentin will match wits against her former coach, Rhonda DeRuiter.
