Yosemite High’s Keyser is North Area titlist

Yosemite High’s Jordan Keyser shot a 78 to win the Central Section North Area individual championship by three strokes Monday at the Madera Golf & Country Club.

Clovis North’s Alana Loyd (81) placed second and Clovis East’s Hannah Sodersten (82) and Clovis West’s Camille Orito (82) tied for third in the tournament that advanced the top 15 individuals to the section finals Oct. 31 at Bakersfield’s Rio Bravo Country Club. It also will draw 15 qualifiers from both the Central and South area tournaments.

Clovis West (447) and Bullard (474), which placed 1-2 in Division I, and D-II winner Clovis North (462) qualified for the section team championships next Monday at Sunnyside Country Club.
