Down Syndrome Association of Central California Recognizes 2012 Shining Stars
The Down Syndrome Association of Central California (DSACC) has announced the following annual award recipients:
Jami Hamel DeLaCerda is the recipient of the 2012 DSACC Founder’s Award. This is only the third time this award has been given in the history of the organization, which was founded in 1999. Jami is the Founder/CEO of the Diamond Learning Center, located in Fresno.
The 2012 Educators of the Year are Cathleen Crookshanks of Bright Start in Visalia and Margie McClain of Diamond Learning Center in Fresno.
The 2012 Healthcare Provider of the Year was awarded to John Goodfellow an Occupational Therapist who serves those throughout the Valley.
The awards were given at the recent DSACC Sweetheart Luncheon, which featured Lauren Potter, the actress who plays Becky Jackson on the television series, “GLEE” and honored all those DSACC volunteers who give their time throughout the year.
