Clovis East Star Kyle Cook Signs with William Jessup Basketball
Rocklin, Calif. – Head Men’s Basketball Coach Aaron Muhic announced that the William Jessup University basketball program has signed Kyle Cook to the Warriors for 2012-13.
Cook, a native of Fresno, California, is coming off an outstanding career at Clovis East High School. The 6’3 wing averaged thirteen points, four rebounds and five assist a game for the Timberwolves. He was named offensive player of the year. He earned the sixth man award as a junior. Cook has thrived in the classroom while maintaining a 3.75 GPA.
He looks forward to the next four years in a Warriors uniform. “I decided to attend William Jessup because it gives me the best opportunity to succeed in the classroom, on the court and in life. It gives me the opportunity to grow in my faith and become a strong Christian man. The coaches are committed to investing in the lives of their players.”
Coach Muhic is excited to see Kyle in a Warriors uniform next season.
“It is so exciting to get the opportunity to coach Kyle and transform his life today for tomorrow here at WJU,” stated Coach Muhic. “He will make our program better not only through his hard work on the court but he also wants to grow in his faith and get his degree. He has a great work ethic and has a chance to become a great player. I am very excited to work with him and be a part of his development as a player and person.”
William Jessup University will host defending National Champions Oregon Tech University on November 9th in their first home game in the new Warriors Arena.
