Clovis cops arrest 2, recover stolen items
Clovis police arrested a man and woman Wednesday and recovered a large amount of stolen property while serving a search warrant in Fresno.
The man, 27, and woman, 28, were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and mushrooms for sales, child endangerment, animal cruelty and gang enhancements, Clovis Police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said.
Officers served the search warrant at a home on the 4600 block of East Princeton Avenue, where they found stolen guns, electronics and jewelry. Detectives seized 56 marijuana plants and 20 pounds of processed marijuana, worth about $60,000, Stoll-Lee said.
Among the stolen electronics was an LCD projector taken from Fresno High School, she said.
The Fresno Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued six fighting roosters and found a seventh rooster dead, she said.
The suspects’ four children and the family dog were placed with relatives.
Police are cataloguing the recovered items and seeking the original owners. If you have been the victim of a residential burglary with a police report for your losses, call (559) 324-3464.
