Chocolate milk from Lemoore dairy recalled
The California Department of Food and Agriculture is recalling “Cream Top Chocolate Milk” by Dairy Goddess of Lemoore, saying improper pasteurization could have allowed harmful pathogens to survive in the milk.
No illnesses have been reported and the company is cooperating with the recall.
The milk was sold at farmers markets in San Luis Obispo and Clovis. And consumers are urged to dispose of any product remaining in their refrigerators with a code date of 7-11-2012. It was sold in sizes of 8 ounces, one quart, and one-half gallon.
