Burst in the first: Jonathan Griffin and Yazy Arbelo homered consecutively to highlight a five-run first inning and Garrett Weber (Clovis High/Fresno City/Fresno State) homered in the sixth and ninth as Visalia beat host Bakersfield 10-6 in a Cal League game Tuesday night. Weber drove in three, went 3 for 5 and is hitting .294.

Meo dominant: Visalia RH Anthony Meo (8-6) gave up seven hits in six scoreless innings, striking out seven.

Up next: The teams will return to Sam Lynn for a 7:30 p.m. game today with Rawhide RH Raymond Hernandez (5-6, 5.24 ERA) opposing Blaze RH Tim Crabbe (2-0, 3.91).
