2 sought in Clovis Papa John’s robbery
Clovis police are looking for two male suspects in the robbery of a Papa John’s Pizza store at Ashlan and Fowler avenues about 10 p.m. Monday.
A witness called police while watching the robbery and followed the suspects’ vehicle for a brief time. The pair fled with a handful of money.
The store’s manager and two employees were in the business at the time.
The assailants are described as young Caucasians. Both are about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall.
One wore blue jeans, black Puma shoes with a large white stripe down the side and had a black bandanna over his face. “Open up the cash registers,” he yelled after entering the store.
His hand was in a black plastic bag to simulate a gun. A second suspect wore a mask and light-colored hooded sweatshirt. They fled in what was described as a white, mid-1990s Ford Taurus, heading southbound on Fowler Avenue.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Clovis police at 324-2594 or CrimeStoppers at 498-STOP.
