Clovis police arrest suspect in 9 vehicle break-ins

Clovis police on Tuesday arrested a 26-year-old Fresno man believed to be responsible for smashing car windows and burglarizing at least nine vehicles in the past two months.

The man was seen looking into car windows at Dry Creek Park at Clovis and Alluvial avenues about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday. Officers, who stopped the man’s vehicle at Herndon and Clovis avenues, found burglary tools, credit cards, gift cards, a backpack, a sports bag and a laptop computer.

He also was arrested on suspicion of transportation of methamphetamine.
