Clovis East teacher arrested on suspicion of sex with student
A Clovis East High School teacher was arrested Thursday on suspicion of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old male student last school year.
Clovis Unified School District spokeswoman Kelly Avants said Monday that Lindsey Trimble, a teacher at the Reagan Education Center, had resigned.
Avants said school officials had asked police to investigate a report involving Trimble and a high school student.
Police have confirmed that the relationship occurred off campus and that no other students were involved, Avants said.
Trimble taught science at Clovis East and at Reyburn Intermediate School.
